This page provides information on delivery, dispatch times, returns and refunds at Seb & I. Our policies are designed to be clear, fair and compliant with UK consumer law, while supporting our commitment to thoughtful service as a small business.
Delivery Service
At Seb & I, we offer a range of delivery services via Royal Mail, Parcel Force & InPost.

We strongly recommend selecting Royal Mail Tracked with Signature for all orders as this provides additional security and delivery confirmation.
delivery Costs
Postage costs for small businesses are currently at an all-time high. We always aim to keep delivery charges as low as possible and, where feasible, absorb part of the cost ourselves. Some of our gift boxes and orders are substantial in value and require higher insurance cover. This can result in increased delivery costs, which are reflected at checkout. Please note that postage charges are influenced not only by parcel size and weight, but also by the level of insurance required.

We are committed to honest pricing for all postage costs. Seb & I do not profit from postage fees. Our delivery charge simply covers the direct courier cost. Some options will include a very small contribution toward our high-quality, eco-friendly packaging materials.

A Note on Shipping & Insurance
​
We want to be completely transparent with you. Recently, Royal Mail and Parcelforce have increased their service costs while significantly decreasing their insurance coverage. This has made it incredibly difficult for a small business like ours to find suitable protection for orders over £75.
​
While we would love to be able to absorb these rising costs, the truth is that we aren't Amazon. We are a small, independent shop, and we simply cannot cover the cost of lost or damaged items if the appropriate insurance hasn't been selected. To protect your beautiful orders, we kindly ask that you choose the correct level of cover at checkout for all orders. This ensures that, should the worst happen, we can replace or refund your order.​

InPost Collection Lockers (NOT Possible for LIQUIDS/ CREAMS/ BALMS/ OILS & GLASS products)

Looking for a more flexible way to receive your order? We now offer In-Post Locker delivery. This is a fantastic "collect on your own terms" service, perfect for busy Mamas who might not be home for a doorstep delivery.
​
Please enter the name or postcode of your preferred InPost Locker in the box provided at checkout. (e.g., 'InPost Locker at Tesco Extra, S1 1WB'). Leave blank if you are selecting a different shipping method. If your chosen locker is unavailable, we’ll select the nearest alternative to your postcode. Please note: once we have booked your locker, it cannot be amended.

InPost CANNOT be used for any orders that include LIQUIDS/ CREAMS/ BALMS/ OILS & GLASS. Please select Royal Mail or Parcelforce for orders containing any of these products.
In the case that InPost is purchased for an order that contains any of these prohibited items you will receive an email to inform you that your chosen delivery is not possible. Arrangements will be made to send your order via Royal Mail. If further costs are incurred, an invoice will be sent to cover these charges. Alternatively, you will be refunded if the new postage method is less than originally paid.

Please make sure that the correct postage method is chosen to avoid any delays.
Dispatch Times
We aim to dispatch orders on the same working day wherever possible. If this is not achievable, orders will be dispatched within 1–2 working days. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email confirmation containing your tracking details.
Tracking & delivery updates
Customers are responsible for monitoring the progress of their delivery using the tracking information provided. Please check the tracking status before contacting us, as this will usually provide the most up-to-date delivery information.
Collection & Local Delivery
You’re welcome to collect your order from Seb & I HQ (postcode BD10 0TQ). We also offer local delivery within a 3.5km radius.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

The delivery address provided at checkout is accurate and complete

Someone is available to receive the delivery where required

Delivery instructions are followed (including rearranging or collecting parcels)

Seb & I cannot accept responsibility for delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete address details.
Returned Parcels & Failed Delivery Attempts
If an order is returned to us due to:

Failure to rearrange delivery

Failure to collect from a delivery office

A refund will be issued once the order has been returned to us and inspected, provided it is in a resalable condition. Original delivery charges will be deducted from the refund. If you wish for the order to be resent, additional delivery charges will apply.
incorrect address details
Refunds will not be issued for orders that fail to arrive due to incorrect name or address details provided at checkout. Please double-check all information before placing your order. Seb & I reserves the right to refuse a refund where delivery failure is due to circumstances outside our control, in line with UK consumer law.
Lost, Delayed or Failed Deliveries- Royal Mail & parcelforce
Once an order has been dispatched, delivery is handled by the selected courier. Seb & I is not responsible for delays, losses or delivery errors caused by the courier, except where required by UK consumer law or where the issue arises due to an error on our part. In the event of a lost or misdelivered parcel, customers may be required to submit a claim directly with the courier. We will, of course, provide reasonable assistance where possible.

InPost Claims & Compensation
​
While we do our absolute best to ensure your order reaches you safely, we rely on our couriers to complete the journey. If your parcel is delayed or arrives damaged, please take note of the following strict time frames set by the courier for us to raise a claim:

Damaged Items: Claims must be made within 30 days of delivery. (Please take photos of the outer packaging and the damaged contents immediately).

Marked "Delivered" but not received: You must notify us within 14 days so we can open an investigation.

Lost Parcels: If your tracking hasn't moved, please let us know within 7 days of the expected delivery date.

As a small, independent business, Seb & I is strictly bound by the terms and conditions of InPost. Consequently, we will not be able to assist with claims, replacements, or refunds if the above guidelines and reporting timeframes are not met.

By selecting your shipping method at checkout, you acknowledge these timeframes and the importance of selecting the appropriate level of insurance cover for your order.
Questions & Special Requests
If you have any questions about delivery, special requests, or collection options, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. As a small business, we will always do our best to assist and resolve any issues fairly and reasonably.
Packaging & Sustainability
Our ready-made gift boxes and build-your-own gift boxes are carefully packaged using recyclable materials and finished beautifully. We’d love it if you could reuse the box, tissue paper and twine wherever possible.

For orders that are not gift boxes, we may occasionally reuse clean packaging that has come into our home or studio. Please don’t be alarmed if your order arrives in an unexpected bag or box — this is a conscious choice made to reduce unnecessary waste. We haven’t taken this decision lightly, but it feels important to extend the reduce, reuse, recycle message a little further. After all, there’s little sense in discarding a perfectly reusable mailer or box after just one use. If you’re able to reuse it again too, we’d absolutely love that.
Returns & refunds policy
​At Seb & I, we hope you love your purchase. However, we understand that sometimes a return may be necessary. This policy is written in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Change of Mind (Online Orders)
Under UK law, customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving their goods.

To be eligible for a return:

Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging

Items must be returned in a resalable condition
​
Customers are responsible for the cost of return postage, unless the item is faulty or incorrect. Once your return has been received and checked, a refund will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days, excluding original postage costs.
Exclusions
For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:

Opened or used personal care items

Products sealed for hygiene once opened

Customised or personalised gift boxes

These exclusions do not affect your statutory rights.
faulty or incorrect items
If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, providing your order number and clear photographs where possible.

In line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to:

A full refund if a repair or replacement is not possible

In these cases, return postage costs will be covered by Seb & I.
