Preparing your perineum during pregnancy will help the muscle and skin to stretch more easily during vaginal birth and doing regular perineal massages before birth have been shown to aid faster recovery if you do suffer any perineal trauma. It also helps to prepare you for the feeling of pressure and stretching that you will feel during the birth.
Using the Mum Bub Hub Peri Message Oil can help to make the massage process a bit more comfortable. We’ve included a blend of skin softening plant oils which are rich in omegas, fatty acids and vitamins to help nourish and improve skin’s elasticity to help keep it supple and soft for when it’s time to push.
You can use it for regular perineal massage from 34 weeks of pregnancy. With each massage, the tissues and muscles will feel more relaxed and softer so that the length of the massage can be increased.

How To Use
Beginning about 6 weeks before your due date, massage the perineal every day using the thumbs to apply the oil to the area in circular movements.
It’s recommended to massage for at least 5 minutes to allow the oils to properly penetrate the skin.
